Background
As is often the case, the Desjardins are related in some way to most of the pureblood families. They believe in arranged marriages, preferring to wait until each girl came of age before starting serious negotiations. In this way, they hoped to avoid the complication of betrothing a child to a family that later becomes socially unacceptable!

Nathalie has been disowned by her ancient, pureblood family. As the oldest child, with no brothers, she was her father’s heir, and it was accepted that Nathalie would marry someone rich and powerful from a pureblood family, and her son, if she had one, would then become the heir. However, when Gervais decided to marry Nathalie to one of his own cronies, a man 30 years older than her, Nathalie refused. She had been growing increasingly rebellious during her last few years at school, and this was the final straw. Gervais gave her an ultimatum: marry him, or leave the family and never return. Nathalie chose to leave, and she was subsequently disowned. Her sister Anneliese became the heir, married the man Nathalie was supposed to marry, and has produced a string of children, including several boys. Anneliese is every inch the dutiful pureblood wife.

Marielle is an unpleasant woman – cold, sarcastic and manipulative, and never affectionate to her children. She did not want to marry Gervais but was given no choice, and as a result became very bitter. She enjoyed thwarting her daughters whenever possible, and imposing unreasonable restrictions upon them.

Gervais is distant and never made a secret of the fact that he would rather have had sons. Gervais is impatient in manner, hates to be kept waiting, and is easily iritated. Physically, he is tall, with the same sapphire blue eyes as Nathalie. He has aquiline features, and wears a neatly trimmed mustache and goatee. He rarely discusses his business affairs with his family, and may be involved in some shady deals. It is almost certain that he was – and probably still is – a Death Eater.

The only member of her family that Nathalie still has any contact with is her youngest sister, Sara, who was also disowned, for a similar reason.

Nathalie's School Career
Nathalie was regarded by her family as the “studious” one – she preferred studying to more social activities. Her family was displeased when she was sorted into Ravenclaw - her parents and sisters (with the exception of Sara, also a Ravenclaw), and most of her extended family have been Slytherins. She didn't have a lot of friends when she first started Hogwarts - her mother did not allow the girls to mix much with others; as a result, her sisters provided all her companionship, and she was extremely close to them. Nathalie excelled in all school subjects, easily attaining the qualifications that she needed to become an Auror.

Personality
Nathalie is intensely self-reliant. When she makes up her mind to do something, she invariably succeeds. Although Voldemort is long-dead, Nathalie believes that the wizarding community should never let down its guard. If one Dark Lord could arise, there is no reason that the same thing won’t happen again. With this in mind, she has taken up the post of Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. She intends to make sure the the current generation of students are thoroughly prepared, should they ever need to fight a Death Eater resurgence.

Nathalie is not married, but has a relationship with Zach Fischer, a fellow Ravenclaw who was a year ahead of her at school. They had little contact while at school, but met later when both entered Auror training. They soon started dating, and despite the fact that their work as Aurors often means they are apart, they have been a couple ever since.

Background: Ceallach was born in Kildare, Ireland, on March 12, the second and last child, and first girl, to wealthy Irish aristocrats, Aodhan and Catraoine o Raghallaigh. She grew up in Kildare, before moving to Dublin at the age of 10. On her 11th Birthday, she attended an exclusive private school for gifted young witches and wizards in Ireland, joining her brother, who also attended there. She blitzed every class, but became rather isolated from her peers, due to her rebellious attitude and confidence, being expelled for sleeping with a teacher. Her parents decided to send her to Hogwarts, under the notion that she’d fit in more with “mainstream students”. Entering into Hogwarts, she was an instant hit. Making friends with the majority of the students, and causing mischeif. She kept on with her wild ways, not finding herself much out of place, although she was still the best!

Leaving Hogwarts, she travelled quite extensively, before returning to Ireland. She bought a house, and got a job with the Irish Ministry of Magic, in the Department of Magical Co-operation. Her father fell ill, and her mother practically begged her back into the family, to take over the family 'trading' business, dealing in wierd, unusual and ancient artefacts, generally associated with the Dark Arts. She did that for 2 years, then her father recovered, and she left, selling her house and giving up her job, moving to England. Taking a job as a barmaid in the Leaky Cauldron, still owned by her friend, Chris Jacobsen, she bumped into another old friend, Aidan Fischer, whom she went to Hogwarts with. They started seeing each other on a regular basis, until Aidan finally asked her out. They have since bought a house together, and Ceallach is now the Head of Gryffindor House, and Arithmancy Professor, at Hogwarts.

Personality:
Ceallach’s a good-looking young woman, and boy does she know it. She’s a bit full of herself, and knows how to use her looks to get what she wants. She’s a hard-worker, getting everything she’s required done on time. She can be a bit grumpy, her bad side a force to be reckoned with. She’s mysterious, secretive, seductive and playful. Exceptionally confident in herself and her abilities, she’s used to being treated like a Princess, and expects the same treatment from everyone around her. She can be rather arrogant and obnoxious some of the time, but she can usually make it up to the poor person on the receiving end of her wrath.

Appearance:
Luke has dark brown hair and even darker eyes. He stands at 6'3" and would like to keep his weight undisclosed, though he has a thin figure. When he transforms, he does so completely, becoming a full wolf instead of a wolf like creature.
History: Luke Carter is the thrid werewolf teacher (the first being Remus Lupin, and the second Emelia Pettigrew) He was in Hufflepuff during school and has returned to teach History of Magic. He is convinced we can learn from past mistakes and that we must know our histories before we can move forward. He still loves chocolate and the Chudley Cannons. He graduated Hogwarts with good grades in all but Potions, planning to travel the world. But then his grandmother died, leaving him some interesting books to study. That was what got him into History of Magic. He realized there were patterns of war and peace and wondered if he could twist them to an advantage for the wizarding world.
Personality: Luke is still shy, still a worry wart, but not so much of a pessimest. He is very compassoinate with all his students, no matter what house. He is glad that his future is working out, ever since Wolfsbane Advanced was invented he needs to take it once a year on harvest moon. Then he is pretty much safe, turning into a harmless wolf shape with human thoughts for only a few hous, he is even able to teach class the next moring, even if he is a bit sleepy.

Angelina 'Angel' Joan Newell

Appearance: Angel's once curly shoulder length hair is now almost always straight and goes almost to her elbows. She has managed to grow to a 5 foot 8 figure although she is still slim and toned. Her eyes always show kindness or concern in them although they will occasionally show irritation if students push her too far.

History:Angelina was born on September 20th in Kent. Shortly after her fifth birthday it became apparent that she was definitely going to be a witch as she was found floating in mid air after having a nightmare about falling off a cliff. Her parents own a country estate in Kent and so she has always been given what she wanted. She was riding horses by the age of 4 and at 6 years old when she didn’t become a big sister again, she was given a broomstick and took to the sky just as easily as she had taken to riding. When she got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts she was extremely excited, although being born in September meant she was one of the oldest in her year group and so was almost 12 when she was sorted. The hat sorted her into Hufflepuff, saying that she had more potential setting a good example there then she had in any other house. Her OWL results were extremely good, getting 2 Os in Charms and COMC, and the rest Es even in Arithmancy thanks to a Ravenclaw Aidan Fischer. She then went on to study NEWTS, focusing on Muggle Studies, Charms, COMC and Transfiguration where she got Os in them all. After fighting in the second battle of Hogwarts, she decided to live amongst muggles for a while, finding them easy to blend in with after having a muggle as an uncle. It was only when she heard that Hogwarts was looking for teachers again that she decided to apply as the Muggle Studies professor.

Personality: Angelina's personality is sweet, caring and helpful. She rarely has a temper, and is normally only irritated instead of angered. However the more irritated she gets, the more polite she gets, which some people find extremely annoying. She keeps her friends and family close to her, especially her younger sister Hannah, since the deaths of her parents 8 years ago.

Other: Her parents died 8 years ago after some deatheaters ransacked their house, looking for objects of sorts. She also lost her boyfriend and since then hasn't had any long term relationships. However, she finds freedom in escaping into the grounds as her unicorn animagus form and running wild, allowing her emotions to calm down back under control if she's been extremely hurt or angered.

Appearance:

History: Erik was born in Norway to a wealthy pureblood family. He moved to England the summer of his 10th birthday with his parents and his 5 year old brother. He received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts and while his parents were thrilled he did not see the point. He was sorted into Slytherin House where while he made several acquaintances did not really make any true friends. The fall of his 4th year an accident happened at his house while he was at school that killed both of his parents and his brother. He went through the rest of school almost in a daze and never really paid attention. Because of his lack of attention his few people that could even be construed as friends left him and his acquaintances seemed to always want something from him. As he graduated he became the sole heir of the estate and because of that attracted a lot of unwanted attention both female and "friends". He took a job in the Ministry in the Department of Education after scoring O's on almost all subjects and spent his years there pushing papers. He finally decided he wanted a direct hand in teaching the students and came to work for Hogwarts.

Personality: Outwardly he plays an overly-confident, outgoing fool so that others will not be able to reach him and hurt him any more than what he has been. Because of his outgoing nature it makes it easier for him to reach the students and get them involved in class. Inside though, he is a rather nice guy who has just been through some hard times. He has a sense of humour and very rarely gets mad.

History:
Sara is the youngest sister of Nathalie Desjardins. Like Nathalie, Sara was disowned for refusing to marry the man her parents had picked for her. This was hardly surprising as he was almost 70.

Personality:
Sara is similar to Nathalie in many ways, but is quieter, and less assertive. She is still feeling very lost after being disowned, and is closer than ever to Nathalie who took her in. Sara can be extremely stubborn, but in a positive way, she is persistent, and rarely fails at anything she attempts. She had excellent grades in school, particularly in Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures.

Other:
Sara is soft-spoken, and but although she seems shy, she really isn’t - she just prefers to listen and observe, instead of talk and draw attention to herself.

History: Juliette was born in the South of France to Edward and Adele Mercer. Her father was a muggle stock broker and her mother was a witch. She grow up in a big house with her brother Emile until he went off to Durmstrang and her sister was born. Her mother always told her qudditch was not lady like but her brother still trainned her to play keeper.

When she was 11 years old she was accepted in to Beauxbatons. She went there for 5 years until she got in to a dual with another girl and the girl was knocked unconious. The headmistress was not happy as the school didn't allow dualling. She was told she could stay at the school but she decided she wanted to go somewhere with less rules and ended up at Hogwarts. She excelled in care of magical creatures.

After her hogwarts years she began to travel the world and she worked with different animals. She ended up back in London and at Hogwarts, after the war that happened in her last year of school she never thought she would end up back there. This time around she's a teacher. She still has a huge french accent.

Personality: Juliette is a very laid back person, she doesn't over do make up or dress up a lot, she would rather walk around in shorts and a tee. She is really hard working when there's something she wants and she almost always gets it. She is fiercly loyal when it comes to friends and she with hex someone who messes with them.

Appearance: At 33 years old, Raven hasn't lost any of her good looks, she dyed her hair back to its natural color of blonde with an added pink streak in it. She's 5 foot 9 and 150 pounds, she has an absolutely perfect body, thanks to her years of playing Quidditch.

History: Raven was born in Canada , she had lived there for most of her life until she turned 9, then her family moved to England and a few years later she got her letter to attend Hogwarts. She joined the Death Eaters at age 15, and was quite loyal to not only the other Death Eaters but their leader as well, she murdered the traitor Ellie Meyer along with her child and was sent to Azkaban where she spent 8 years of her life. After being released, she was offered a job at the Ministry of Magic as the Head of Magical Games and Sports' secretary. Unknown to her at the time, she was working for the one person who hated her the most, Andrew McDougall. She did however, run into her old crush Danika Peverell, and they got into a good relationship and they ended up living together. One day, she got a letter asking her if she could work at St. Mungo's as a Healer, she gladly accepted and left the Ministry to work at St. Mungo's. For 5 years, she was working as an intern with the healer at Hogwarts as well as continuing her position at St. Mungo's.

Personality: She's very cold to most people due to all the time she had spent in Azkaban, yet underneath there lies a very nice woman. Slightly odd, she has a bit of a tendancy to tell someone the most random thing that pops into her head.


Other: She has an tendancy even today to bribe people with thousands of dollars to do whatever she wanted. This girl uses her charm and good looks to convince people to do things for her, so watch out!

Appearance:

History: The youngest teacher at school Ms. Lyons is the best in her arsenal. She is one of the most gifted seers, her family dating all the way back to the oracles of ancient Greece. Her mother's last name is Castro, the most prominent family in Greece. Her mother is from Athens, her father from a Irish/ French family. That trio can be quite a lot to handle. She was sorted into Ravenclaw after a long row about which school she should go to. She was glad to be away from her parents and quickly earned a reputation. Being the youngest Lyons child, but the only to attend Hogwarts she did her best to seem responsible to the teachers but cause a stir amoung students. If pressed she would have to admit to some wild flings, underage drinking and such during her school days. I know what you're asking; who would make this woman a teacher? Well, for one thing the Headmistress is quite eccentric and secondly, Demi really is a good seer. She knows her stuff.

Personality: Demi is quite care free, she is wild, fun, easy going, looks the other way at petty trouble and overlooks homework slip ups. In other words, most students adore her. However, when her wild side does come out (often) she has a strong sexual drive, a need for alcohol consumption and a tendency to not think things over. She has had affairs with fellow teachers as well as select students and many other people. she can often be found either up in her tower sneaking some fire whiskey or at the Hog's Head. She smiles easily, is distracted even more so and is very spontaneous.
