Ameleesha walked into the common room, and settled herself down on the sofa, stretching her long, slender legs out in front of her. She wasextremely glad she'd gotten her mother's body. Gabriella was stunning. And, in image, so was Ameleesha. She was a little taller than her mother, but that just made her even better looking. She was tall, and slender, but curvy in all the right places. Perfection, as her mother called her. Stretching out on the sofa, she sighed. So far, this yeah had been boring. Absolutely, excruciatingly boring. She sighed, fighting the urge to go to sleep.

Ryan practically ran into the room wanting to get away from the chaos of school... and found himself in dangerous waters. Ameleesha Sanchez, his ex, was stretched out on the couch. She was extremely gorgeous, like always and he felt a tug at his heart. You should have kept her... he thought. You really love her... He angrily pushed that thought away and tried to creep up to his dorms. He was halfway there when he stepped on a creaky board. The squeak sounded so loud in his ears he was sure half the school had heard it...

The squeak sounded so loud in his ears he was sure half the school had heard it... Ameleesha opened her eyes with a start as she heard an almighty creak. She sat bolt uright, then groaned when she saw who it was. Laying back down, she rolled over, so she wasn't facing him anymore. She sighed. She still loved him. No matter how badly he'd treated her, she loved him. Why did I leave him? she asked herself. Because he treated you like dirt. But I love him But you're worth more than that. But maybe he loves me back! Doubt it. She groaned again. Frustrated with herself.

Ryan just stood frozen, not sure whether to speak or to silently advance to his goal. He cleared his throat as if to speak but the words caught in his throat. Maybe you shouldn't have treated her like something you found on the bottom of Voldemort's foot, that annoying little voice told him. Shut up, he growled mentally.

Ameleesha head him clear his throat, and she sighed. Sitting up again, she turned, so she was sitting the right way on the sofa. "Did you want something, Ryan?" she asked, almost indifferently, but there was that undercurrent of hurt permeating through her tone that was always there when she spoke to him.

"Er... good morning?" he tried. Oh nice one, he thought. Say something intelligent for a change!

"Socks? Socks? That's the best you could come up with?" Ameleesha scowled at him. "You're ridiculous. Why I ever loved you, I don't know," she said, getting up of the sofa and marching over to him, pushing past him on her way to the girl's dorms.

Ryan was shocked. Love and Hate were strong words. She hadn't said the latter out loud but he could sense it in her tone. Ouch. Girls were so complicated. "Leesh, I'm sorry, stop overreacting!" as soon as the last syllable left his lips he knew he was in for it.

Ameleesha swung back around, her mouth open, and her chocolate eyes wide, in shock. "Overreacting," she said, bordering on calm, and anger, teetering precariously. "Overreacting. Are you kidding? Ryan. I gave you everything. And you threw it back in my face by treating me like nuts. I have a right to 'overreact'," she said, her throat tight with the effort of keeping her voice relatively calm. She knew she was probably too young for him anyway. That could have been a reason he'd treated her like he did. But it certaingly wasn't an excuse. She sighed, taking a few deep breaths. She'd also inherited her mother's temper. She wanted to jump at him, wrap her arms around his neck and tell him she forgave him. She groaned at her inner battle, her eyes beginning to well up. "This is stupid," she mumbled, more to herself.

"Yeah, it is. I'm sorry if I didn't treat you... the way a girl should be treated... I guess I'm just stupid like that. I take things for granted. Er... I'm sorry?" he said shrinking back like a puppy expecting to be punished. He knew that wouldn't cut it with Leesh, maybe some other girls but not her...

"You're sorry. Of course you are. You always are." Ameleesha took in a deep, shuddering breath. "That's what kept me coming back," she muttered quietly, almost inaudibly. Unfortunately for him, she was extremely mature for her age. Her mother had taught her a lot of things. Gabriella was her age when she'd had Ameleesha. She watched him, shrinking back. That's how he won her over. Playing the puppy dog. She had to actively prevent herself from falling for it again. "I want more than a sorry," she murmured, her head bowed, looking at their feet.

"Well then, what do you want? Seriously, a sorry used to be a lot more then a couple of words Leesh. Now an 'I'm sorry' is when you step on someone's toe. Tell me what a really apology is then, and I'll do my best." he said, trying not to say or do something stupid, so he just looked up at the ceiling. He hated serious conversations.
