The Gilded Hippogriff sits at the end of High Street, just off to the side. It's a prestigious restaurant, catering for all kinds of tastes. A bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. The food is exquisite, as is the service, and presentation, of the room, the staff, and food.

Aidan walked up to the front desk of the restaurant, smiling. Dinner with Angel. At this place. Perfect. "Reservation for Fischer," he told the man at the front. "Table for two?" he asked. Aidan nodded. He'd wait at the table til Angel got there. He sat down, ordered a bottle of wine, and sat back in his chair. He sighed, content. This really was a nice place! Good thing he could afford it. He sat forward again as the wine was bought to the table, and he poured himself a glass, waiting for Angel.

Angel walked into the restaurant, wondering whether she was slightly under dressed. This place was really nice and supposedly quite expensive too. She walked up to the man and said, "I'm meant to be meeting someone, last name Fischer?" He nodded and smiled, leading her over to a table where Aidan was sitting with a glass of wine, the bottle on the table. "Well this is nice," she commented smiling as she sat down. "Is the wine any good?"

Aidan looked up as Angel sat down at the table. "You look stunning, as usual," he complimented. she did. Really. He felt really drab compared to her. "Yeah, wine's good. You want a glass?" he asked, holding up the bottle.

"And you look as handsome as ever," Angel said meaning it. He really was good looking even when he didn't think so. "Please," she said holding her wine glass out for him to pour some into. "You didn't get into trouble for being late back did you?" she asked worriedly. It was partly her fault he had stayed so long and she didn't want him getting into trouble for it.

Aidan smiled, and poured her a glass of wine. He laughed. "No. Ron was on lunch when I got back. So he didn't even notice. He takes extra long breaks anyway. Everyone does. He just said he was cracking down on it. I was lucky," he explained. Ron was an easy-going guy. Aidan didn't think he'd ever heard him raise his voice about anything. "Cheers," he said, raising his glass, before taking a drink from it. "So, for eating," he murmured, looking down at the menu. "What are you in the mood for?"

"Oh good," Angel sighed relieved. "Well as long as you didn't get into trouble I'm fine. See this is why you should be a teacher. You're lunch break lasts until you have to teach. Is Ron a good head of department?" She smiled before raising her glass. "Cheers." It was good wine and she took a sip from her glass. "Personally I fancy a roast chicken with potatos, carrots, and broccoli," she decided, after looking at the menu she'd been given. "It sounds good."

"Yeah. He's a nice bloke. Knows his stuff. Obviously," Aidan replied. Ron really was a great boss. Couldn't find a better one. He chinked glasses with her, taking a sip, then setting his mind on the menu. He listened to what she had decided on, and he nodded. "Sounds good. I'll just have the same," he concluded. A waiter came to the table right on cue, and he ordered their food, as well as a bread plate for starters. "So, Angel, what have you been up to? Apart from teaching?" he asked, interestedly. He hadn't seen her for so long!

"I bet he does," Angel said remembering the stories she'd heard about the trio. She'd be sh*t scared in any of their presences, she didn't know how Aidan could do it. "It does sound good, and I'm pretty sure it'll taste good as well," she said smiling as Aidan ordered the same as she had, including a bread plate. "Well I went to live around muggles for a while, learning more about how they lived. It was easy enough to blend in, after having a muggle for an uncle, but it was weird not being able to talk about magic." She had another sip of wine before continuing. "I did some more horse riding after school finished and managed to win a few rosettes. My parents died 8 years ago now but Hannah and I are even closer now than we were. Now I just teach, fly, ride horses during the holidays and spend time in the forest in my unicorn form. Its not as interesting as it sounds." She said laughing a little. She felt really at ease talking to him, like she had never stopped talking to him.

Aidan listened intently as Angel spoke, watching her lips as they formed words, her facial expressions as she reacted to things she was saying. She was so beautiful. "You lived with Muggles? Wow. Well done," he commented. He wouldn't be able to do that! "Congratulations on winning those rosettes then." He sighed when she said her parents had died, and placed a hand on hers. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said softly, conveying the truth of those words in his eyes. "Unicorn form? You an animagus then?" he asked, not remembering her having ever told him that. He smiled at the waiter as he bought the bread plate. "Thanks," he said, inclining his head. "Help yourself," he said to Angel, reaching and taking a piece of bread, dipping it into one of the sauces. He had no idea what they were!

Angel felt him watching her, listening to her at the same time. He really seemed interested in her. "Thanks. It's not that hard, you just have to know how to act like one," she said laughing a little. "Oh and you can't use magic around any of them, so no magic unless you're in your own home." She knew that many people found it hard to do, but somehow she'd managed to do it for a while. She smiled greatfully as he put a hand on hers. "Yeah," she sighed, captivated by his eyes they seemed so truthful and at the same time so lovely. She nodded as he asked if she was an animagus and then realised that he'd left when she finally realised how. "Well you know how I couldn't do it when Professor Peterson taught us, well I went back to her shortly after graduating and got her to teach me privately. Turns out I'm a unicorn at heart," she smiled shrugging her shoulders. As the waiter came to their table she smiled her thanks before taking a piece. She saw which sauce Aidan had dipped his bread into and bit her lip as he put it into his mouth. "Um... Aidan that's horseradish. Don't ask me why it's with the bread but yeah." She didn't dip hers into any sauce, but took a bite, enjoying the warm bread. "So what have been up to? Apart from becoming an auror?"

"An unicorn. I can see that. Graceful, beautiful. Stunning," Aidan started, trailing off to let her imagination go. As he dipped his bread into the dip, and Angel warned him it was horseradish, he grinned, and bit the end off, the bit with the dip. Horseradish wasn't that bad. Just had to make sure it didn't hit your tongue. "Umm. What have I been up to? Nothing really. Becoming an Auror has taken up a good part of my life. Training went for ages, and now I'm a fully fledged Auror. Working all day, everyday. Not really much time to do anything else," he admitted.

Angel could feel her cheeks getting redder and redder as Aidan complimented her. As he trailed off she wondered what else he may have said or thought about saying. Her nose scrunched up as he ate the bit with the dip on it. "How can you stand that stuff?" she asked in disbelief. She hated horseradish, always had since a cousin had told her it was mayonaise and she'd eaten it on a sandwhich. "Well at least you can say you've got a well paying job that you've earned," she said trying to find a good side to his news. "Don't you have any free time?" she asked curiously wondering if she'd get to see him anytime after tonight. She really wanted to, Angel realised looking at him as she sipped some more wine.

Aidan laughed. "When you have a twin brother, you get used to these sort of things. They start off as jokes, and pranks, but you tend to get accustomed to it," he explained. "Yeah, I suppose you could say that I do. Definately earnt it. That training is no cup of tea!" he chuckled. "I have some free time. Lunch hours, after work. And I can take days off. I just haven't done that a lot recently. "Do you get free time?"

Angel laughed, taking another bite of her bread. She could imagine the sort of pranks Adian and Zach played on one another. "I guess it's like little sisters in a way. You sort of get used to the idea that if your makeup, clothes or shoes are missing, she's got them." She listened to him, watching the way his whole face moved as he pronounced words, the way his eyes would either light up or sink a bit as he talked about his job. "I don't know how anyone could get through auror training. It sounds really difficult." She smiled and nodded in response to his question. "Well I have around one free lesson where I'm not teaching almost everyday. Then there's lunch, in the evenings, and weekends of course since school doesn't run on weekends." It was nice having free time, although half of that time was actually spent marking papers.
