Albus craned his neck to see what was being passed back and forth. He was surprised when Rose asked Scorpious Malfoy out and even MORE surprised when he said yes. This was not going to go down well with his family at all.

Erik looked around with a frown as Rose and Scorpius were passing a note. He waved his hand and stood up as the parchment flew towards him, "This is a class Ms. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy, we are here to learn." He caught the parchment with ease, unfolded it and read the note. "Now, unless you want me to read this out loud to the whole class and embarrass you both immensely, I suggest you PAY ATTENTION!" He stuck the note in his pocket and sat back down on his desk looking relaxed, "Now, who can name me a few basic potions?"

Rose jumped as the parchment flew from underneath her hand. Her eyes widened when Professor Jensen read it, then threatened to read it to the class. She sat up straighter, and gave the professor her undivided attention. "Boil-Cure Potion," she suggested.

"Shrinking Solution," Scorpius said, his cold grey eyes fixed on the professor. Was the man insane? No-one threatened a Malfoy. He'd let it go this time, he decided, but the Potions master had better watch his tongue. As for assuming that the note would embarrass him and Rose... he'd go out with whoever he liked, and quite frankly he didn't care who knew it. Even his father.

"Polyjuice potion," Lily added, raising her hand from her notes. She had a good idea what the note was about and seeing how Albus looked, she'd have to stop him from going straight to the family. She knew all about polyjuice potion after hearing the stories about how her aunt, uncle and father had used it in their second and final years at Hogwarts.

Hugo walked into potions, aware he was late. Heck, it's just another detention. He came in just in time to hear Professor Jensen tell Rose and Scorpius off for passing notes. Why was his sister passing notes to a Malfoy? He shook his head, Rose's stubbornness was going to get her in a lot of trouble someday. He greeted Rose, Anoreen, Albus and finally Lily, plopping down in the seat next to her.
"What did I miss?" he asked.

"Hugo you're late," Lily said giving him a hug as he sat next to her. She loved Hugo. He was her best friend as well as cousin, although slightly annoying at times. "Not much apart from we're going back to basics, naming different types of potions. Oh and Rose and Scorpius have been writing notes." She wasn't going to tell him why, otherwise he'd go into one of his brotherly protective moods even though Rose was older.

"I see." he said grinning and returning his cousin's hug. He set out the stuff he would need and called out for the benefit of the professor, "What about Felix Felicis?"

Erik noticed Hugo arriving late and clenched his jaw, "See me after class, Mr. Weasley." He got up and wrote the two potions that Scorpius and Rose had said on the board, "5 points to Mr. Malfoy and Ms. Weasley. A nice try Ms. Potter and Mr. Weasley but those two potions are not really a basic type of potion. They require many ingredients and a skilled or at least knowledgeable person to make them." He sat back down on his desk and looked at the class, "Now, who can name me a few basic potion ingredients that are commonly found in most basic potions."

Rose looked triumphant as she got 5 points, and Hugo didn't. And Hugo was going to be busted for coming to class late. She didn't even get told off badly for passing notes.
"Porcupine quills?" she enquired. She knew they were in boil-cure potion - she didn't know if they were in anything else.

"Essence of Belladona," Scorpius said. He hoped this entire class wasn't going to consist of making lists. Potions was one of his favourite subjects, and he wasn't impressed with the lesson so far.
