The Hog's Head is a shady rickety old pub down a side street in Hogsmeade. The interior is dark and dank, giving it a foreboding feeling. It is a lot better than it used to be. The glasses are clean and there is fresh butterbeer in the cupboard. Come in and take a seat.

Angel walked into the Hogs Head and sat down, ordering herself a firewhisky. Her tolerance of alcohol had improved tremendously after Hogwarts, she could still remember not drinking when everyone else did. Except for the occasional one. It was nice having a pub just outside of Hogwarts and since all the students were going to be in the Three Broomsticks, it would be a lot quieter in here. Quiet enough to think and relax.

Aidan had decided on a nice quiet drink, and he couldn't do that at the office. There was always someone hanging around, knocking on his office door. Why he'd decided on the Hog's Head, he wouldn't be able to tell you. He had no idea himself. Walking up to the bar, he ordered himself a double. When his drink reached him, he glanced to the woman sitting on the stood beside him. He was taken aback. There was no way he'd ever forget that face, even if she had matured a little. "Angel?" he said, a grin on his face.

Thinking about what next to teach her students, Angel didn't bother looking up as someone else walked into the bar. It was a free area after all and there were the inhabitants of Hogsmede who came here as well. Hearing her name though she looked up, her eyes widening slightly at the face in front of her. Even though he had a twin, she could differentiate Aidan from Zach anywhere. One of the good points of dating him. "Aidan!" she said happily giving him a smile and a hug. "What are you doing here?"

Aidan grinned wider as Angel hugged him. "I decided I needed to get away from the office," he said, sitting down on the stool he was standing beside. He took a gulp of his drink, sighing as the scolding liquid burnt his throat. "How have you been? What are you up to?" he asked, happily. He hadn't seen Angel for ages. Felt like forever, to be honest. He was at fault there. He should have kept in touch. He couldn't keep his eyes from her face. She was still as beautiful as she was back in school, when they had dated for a time. If it were possible, she was more beautiful. Maturity suited her.

"You're working at the ministry?" Angel asked taking a guess at which offices he meant. She smiled as he sat on the stool next to her, cause it meant they could talk longer. "I'm fine, been a bit under the weather lately, but thankfully it's passed and I'm much better. Actually I'm teaching at Hogwarts, muggle studies." Her day had all of a sudden brightened, just from seeing Aidan again. He seemed even taller if that were possible and had more muscle than he'd had in school. She couldn't believe they hadn't been in contact, but after the break up and the war everyone had been distant. "How are you?" she asked taking a mouthful of drink, swallowing the bitter liquid.

"Yeah. I'm an Auror. On desk duty at the moment. Zach's away. They don't tend to send both of us away at the same time," Aidan said, shrugging his shoulders. "Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. Good you're better though. Muggle Studies?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Well. Good luck with that." He chuckled. He wasn't exactly good at that. She looked thinner, leaner, while still being curvy. Like she'd grown into those delicious curves. "Eh. I'm ok. Been better." What did he do now? Lie? Not tell her about Ceal at all? Why he'd left Angel in the first place he didn't know. "Relationship problems," was all he said, taking another gulp of his drink.

"Ohhh," Angel said. She'd heard Nathalie say that Zach was an auror but she hadn't heard that Aidan was one too. "Tough luck, this is why I like teaching. Means I'm not stuck behind a desk all day." Then again she probably had more papers what with homework essays and such. "Yes Muggle Studies," she said laughing. "Just because you didn't do well in the subject, doesn't mean it's bad. Otherwise I'd be hating Arithmancy. It's a fun subject to teach." Her face fell into a concerned frown, "What between you and Ceal?" she asked. That wasn't good, okay so it meant Aidan was back on the market, but it still wasn't nice for either of them. "I'm sorry," she said softly, placing a hand on his arm. "If you ever need to talk you know where to find me."

"Arithmancy was my best subject," Aidan laughed. "I suppose that's how Ceallach and I kept our relationship going for so long. Mutual love it. Especially when she started teaching. I could help mark the homework!" he laughed. Then he sighed. "But, obviously, that wasn't enough," he said softly. He looked at his arm where her hand was, and he placed his other hand on top. "Thanks Angel," he said, smiling at her. "So, how's your life going in that respect?" he asked. He half hoped she hadn't found anyone. But he wanted her to be happy. So if she had, he wasn't going to say anything against the person.

"I know," Angel laughed. "If you weren't I still don't think I would've gotten that E in my OWL." She listened and nodded her head. "Yeah I remember Ceallach loving Arithmancy. I think you two got the best marks in the school didn't you? Well at least it got some stress off of Ceal's shoulders considering it takes forever to mark homework." She looked down and saw his hand over hers, it was still a lovely fit just like before. "You're welcome," she said softly. "Um... it isn't," she said shaking her head slightly. "It had been going really well and then it ended around a year ago." Stupid git! "On the good side though, it means I can flirt with all the guys I like and not feel bad about it."

"Oh dear. That's no good. And I'm guessing a lot of guys flirt back," Aidan laughed. There was no way a guy wouldn't flirt back with Angel. She was still as gorgeous as she used to be, in looks, and obviously, in personality. He smiled at her, genuinely. He'd run out of things to say. Then he thought of something. "Would you like to go for dinner sometime?"

Angel thought for a moment and then smiled, "They've been known to flirt back on some occasions." Okay so most occasions but they never went anywhere. None of them met her standards anymore. And now came the awkward silence that she always hated having. Aidan's smile was still captivating and she wished she could think of things to say. He didn't deserve to be having relationships problems, neither did Ceal, but she still had a soft spot for Aidan. "I'd love to," she said smiling as she heard his invitation to dinner. "But won't Ceallach mind?"

Aidan grinned as Angel accepted his invite to dinner. His smile faded, however, when she mentioned Ceallach. "Umm. No. We - uh - We're not exactly talking at the moment." That bit was true. The not talking bit, anyway. The bit where Ceal wouldn't mind. Complete and utter lie. "So, no, she won't mind," he added, just for good measure. "You got plans tonight?" he asked.

Angel nodded, well at least Ceal wouldn't mind. It was sad that they weren't talking, but she knew she wouldn't be telling Ceallach about the meeting with Aidan. Just incase it upset her. "Okay," she said smiling sincerely. "Hmm nope not unless you were planning in asking me out to dinner. In which case I'd have to say yes." She downed the remains of her drink, allowing it to burn her throat a bit but it was still nice.

Aidan laughed. "Well then. You officially have plans for tonight." He finished off his drink, then looked at his watch. His lunch hour was well and truly over! "I regret that I must leave now. My lunch break was over 10 minutes ago. But, I'll meet you at the - say - Gilded Hippogriff, at ... 7pm?" he suggested. He'd have to hurry down there now to make a reservation.
