The hut is cramped but cosy. It hasn't been used for a while (it was rebuilt after the devastating fire years ago) so it's currently a bit grimy and will need some work to make it comfortable again.

Sara looked around the hut and sighed. She'd been looking forward to moving into her new little home, but the place hadn't been lived in for years, and it was going to take some serious cleaning. And she'd have to shift some of the junk. It looked like all the old tools, boxes and junk from the greenhouses had been dumped in here. She took out her wand. She'd shift everything out of the hut, decide what was worth keeping, and have a bonfire with the rest. She smiled. It was nice to have something constructive to do. She could still hardly believe that she'd got this job, and it was definitely preferable to moping around Nat's house. For the first time since she'd been thrown out of her parents' house, after refusing to marry that awful old man, she was actually starting to feel cheerful.

OOC: continued from the Paddock
Though she loved being outside, this little cottage was cosy and welcoming. After her distress over the dead peacock, she felt drained, in need of the quiet comfort of her home.
At the headmaster's suggestion, she raised her eyes to his. She managed a half-smile. "Of course - Lucius." It felt strange to address him this way, but she welcomed the feeling of connection. She'd been feeling very isolated lately, what with Nat preoccupied. Using his name sent a strange little quiver through her. Almost the way she'd felt that evening at the feast, a feeling of unexpected intimacy.
Lucius glanced around the cottage. It was as primitive as he remembered. He suppressed a shudder. He would much rather conduct this encounter in his own lavishly-furnished quarters, but he sensed that Sara would feel more at ease, more willing in surroundings where she felt comfortable.
After closing the door, he guided Sara to a slightly shabby couch near the fireplace. He drew his wand from his pocket, and within seconds the fire was crackling quietly. The fire was heatless - the early September evening was still warm - but it created the sort of atmosphere he wanted.
Sara let Lucius move her to the couch, and as she sat, the fire flickered into life. She drew a deep breath, trying to regain her composure. "I'm sorry," she began. "I - I thought I'd grown out of getting upset when this kind of thing happens. It's just - it makes me feel helpless... I want so much to take care of the animals... and then it's like... like I've failed them..." She knew it was a mistake to try to explain, as she felt the tears rising to her eyes once more. She gulped slightly, biting her lip, hoping that Lucius hadn't noticed.
As Sara started to explain, Lucius could hear the tremble return to her voice. He sat on the couch beside her, and slid his arm around her shoulders. "Shhh, Sara. Don't upset yourself again." He turned her towards him, and made as if to speak again, but instead paused, capturing her gaze. He held the look for a long time, seeing the blush that suddenly tinged her cheeks. The moment, it seemed, was finally right.
He raised his free hand to touch her cheek, his fingers brushing the smooth skin lightly, then almost hesitantly, leaned closer and kissed her gently.
As Sara tried to get her emotions back under control, Lucius sat beside her. The feeling of his arm around her was electrifying, and she looked up, feeling her cheeks burn once more. She thought he was about to speak again, probably more words of comfort, but as they looked at each other, he was silent, and Sara felt a moment of suspense, suddenly sure that this time, he wouldn't draw back. She caught her breath at the touch of his hand on her cheek, and as he moved closer she closed her her eyes. His lips brushed hers, smooth, caressing, and she leant towards him, parting her lips in response to his kiss.

For a moment, as his lips touched Sara's, Lucius knew that it was possible that she would resist, might be scared or angry. Then he felt her move towards him, and her lips parted to his, and he knew that he had succeeded. So far. How much farther she would be willing to go was uncertain.
He moved the arm that encircled her, letting his hand drop to rest on her waist. With the other hand, he cupped her face, gently stroking her cheek with his thumb, and drew back a little to look at her. Her eyes were closed, her expression uncertain, yet encouraging. Lucius dropped his head a little to kiss her again, harder this time, and as Sara's lips parted under his, he let the tip of his tongue flicker against hers.
Sara jumped slightly as she felt Lucius's tongue nudge her own; she was very inexperienced with men; the occasional light kiss, and quick cuddle with a boy when she was still at school were the furthest she had ever gone. While she lived at home with her parents, they had kept a close watch on her, chaperoning all her contact with the opposite sex.
She knew the basics, of course: the gentle probing of Lucius's tongue was not unexpected, but it was certainly an unfamiliar sensation. Hesitantly, she used her own tongue to lightly flick his, and was rewarded by his slightly more insistent response. Encouraged, enjoying the new experience more than she had expected in theory, she pushed a little harder, letting her tongue slide over the top of his.
Lucius could tell, from Sara's hesitant, uncertain response, that the girl was very inexperienced. He felt a throb of arousal at the delicious thought of introducing her to lovemaking. He was still trying to go slow, to let Sara control the pace to some extent, but his sudden increased desire prompted him to kiss her hard, his tongue thrusting into her mouth.
She froze in his embrace, and for a moment Lucius thought he'd gone too fast for her. But then she moaned softly in her throat, and suddenly raised her hands to his face, pulling him closer, and returning his kiss with equal intensity.
Lucius suddenly thrust his tongue all the way into Sara's mouth, and she paused for a second - not repulsed, but startled by the thrill that flowed through her entire body. Relieved to find that some things were, after all, instinctive, Sara moaned quietly, then reached to cup his face with both of her hands, wanting only to deepen the kiss, her tongue meeting his, twining and sliding against it.
As a teenager, Sara had seen some of her friends disgraced, caught with men they had no business to be with; she had wondered then why they would risk their reputations just for a few kisses.
But now she understood. She felt intoxicated, wanting more of Lucius, wanting all of him; she didn't want to stop at just kissing him. She wanted to run her hands and lips over his body, she wanted to feel him caress her, to touch and kiss every part of her, to make love to her. And she wanted him to do it now.
Lucius was pleasantly surprised at Sara's ardour. He'd seen it before, of course, a shy young virgin, suddenly presented with the opportunity that had always been denied her, who discovered that this was what she'd been unconsciously yearning for. The chance to abandon herself totally to her desires. He had suspected that Sara might turn out to be the type to shy away from the experience, to require skillful coaxing to take the ultimate step.
From the way she was kissing him, clearly he'd been wrong about her. She was ready to throw herself into the experience. And all he had to do was enjoy it - and make sure that she enjoyed it, so that she'd want to keep coming back for more.
Breaking the kiss, he hooked his arm under her knees, and stood up, lifting her in his arms. There was no need for words, the eager anticipation in Sara's eyes told him she was willing to do whatever he wanted. He kissed her again, with lingering passion, then walked with her in his arms towards the bedroom.

When Lucius suddenly broke the kiss, Sara wondered if she was doing something wrong, but then he lifted her in his arms, and began to walk towards the bedroom. She knew that once they got there, it would be much more difficult to back out. But that was fine. She didn't want to stop. She slid her arms around his neck, raising her face to continue their kiss.Lucius gently set Sara down on the bed. He ignored the decor; it was primitive. Besides, he was not about to pay attention to the room itself, when he had a beautiful, willing young woman to engage his full attention. He sat down beside her, and pulled her close, kissing her deeply. With one arm still around her, he slid his other hand up from her waist, skimming lightly over the firm curves of her body, feeling her shiver slightly under his touch. She was enjoying it now, but she would find the sensation far more pleasurable once the barrier of her clothing was removed. His fingers found the buttons of her blouse, unfastening them deftly. He could feel the heat of her skin under his fingers, and the rapid beating of her heart. Sara gasped as she felt Lucius slide his hand upwards from her waist. She closed her eyes, letting her head tilt back, as he began to unfasten her blouse. She was suddenly glad that she hadn't bothered to put on a bra that day; it would make things so much easier.Lucius undid the last button, and gently opened Sara's blouse. He paused for a moment, relishing the sight that met his eyes. Her firm, voluptuous flesh was perfection. He leaned down, caressing her skin with his lips. She wasn't wearing perfume, but her body seemed to carry its own echo of the trees and wild grasses that surrounded the little cottage. He raised his head, and stroked his fingers through her long, dark hair, cupping the back of her head as he kissed her again. Sara groaned softly as Lucius began to kiss her exposed skin. She arched her back slightly, wanting him to kiss every part of her. She was almost disappointed when he lifted his head, until he captured her mouth once more, and she leaned into the kiss.
But soon it wasn't enough. She didn't want to wait any more. She ran her hands up his chest, finding the top button of his shirt. Her fingers shook as she tried to unbutton it. For the first time, she wondered if she was going to be disappointed; he was quite old, after all. What if his body was flabby, unattractive? Would she still want to go through with this? She got the first button undone, and glanced up at Lucius, biting her bottom lip, as she started on the next one.Lucius glanced down, watching as Sara tried to unbutton his shirt. She seemed suddenly hesitant, unsure of what she would find. He smiled, stroking the hair back from her face. He had no concerns that she would be disappointed with what she saw when she took his shirt off. The thought of letting the ravages of age change his body disgusted Lucius, so he kept himself toned. Not that he ran around sweating like some Muggle; there was no need, when magic could accomplish in a few moments what would normally take hours of strenuous exercise. The spells were painful, of course, and had to be repeated often. He'd tried to modify the spell to last longer, but it had resulted in such severe bruising that he put up with the regular discomfort of the shorter-lived spell. It was worth it. He didn't overdo it, but the look of appreciation on a woman's face when she looked at him was very gratifying. Sara's fingers were shaking so much that it took her a long time to finally get the last button undone. With a slightly nervous gasp, she slipped her hands under his shirt, and ran them up his chest. Her fingers encountered smooth, firm flesh, lightly sprinkled with hair.
As she pushed Lucius's shirt open, she looked up and met his gaze, then her eyes flickered down. He was toned and muscular, pleasing to the eye. She smiled, and leaned forward, pressing her lips to his chest, caressing the warm skin. Hesitantly, she flicked her tongue out, stroking his skin, inhaling the scent of his body. Nathalie came out from between the trees, in sight of the little stone hut where her sister lived, then paused, frowning, and ducked back behind a tree. The headmaster of all people was striding towards the hut. Frankly this was the last place Nathalie would have expected to see him - it was far too primitive to appeal to a man who was accustomed to lavish manor houses! Then Nathalie remembered that Sara had said something about one of those ridiculous white peacocks of Malfoy's being killed by the whomping willow; could Malfoy be checking up on the welfare of the remaining birds? Maybe giving Sara a hard time about the death of one of his status symbols? Nathalie's face hardened. If Malfoy was bullying her baby sister, he'd have to answer to a very angry ex-auror! Nat watched as Malfoy approached the door of the hut, and rapped on it with his walking stick. She was about to step forward, and let him know that Sara was not alone, when the door of the hut opened, and Sara came out - and stepped straight into Malfoy's embrace, her hands meeting at the back of his neck, as they kissed passionately. Nathalie stood there, paralysed, cold with shock. There had been no hesitation from either Malfoy or Sara; this was obviously an established thing between them. The couple disappeared inside the hut, closing the door. Well, this certainly answered the question of how Sara had been spending her evenings lately! Lucius was gratified by the enthusiasm of Sara's greeting. Clearly, she had missed him. She'd be far too busy getting his clothes off him to notice the slight difference in the spell he would perform before they made love. He smiled as Sara led him straight to the bedroom

Sara sighed contentedly, and snuggled against Lucius. This was nice. He'd never stayed the night before, and Sara had always wished he would. Now, he showed no inclination to get up and leave.
She'd been wondering how he would act that evening; he hadn't seemed pleased when she'd told him the previous day that she would be spending the evening with her sister. She'd worried that he might still be annoyed, but their lovemaking this evening had been particularly passionate.
Sara rested her head against Lucius's shoulder, and put her arm across his chest. With another happy sigh, she closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

Lucius glanced at Sara, now curled up against him, her breathing slow and even. So far as he could tell, she hadn't noticed that his muttered spell was slightly different. All things being equal, it shouldn't take too long to impregnate Sara; though her sister, he understood, was having trouble getting pregnant. He hoped it wasn't a family tendency - well, he could keep his eyes open for a possible alternative, should it become necessary, and meanwhile enjoy the task of trying to create a new heir.
It was rather pleasant to lie here, becoming drowsy, with Sara cuddled up next to him. He looked at her again, and reached to brush a lock of hair from her face. Asleep, she looked even younger and more vulnerable than usual. He felt a sudden faint glimmer of protectiveness, and he frowned at the emotion. Surely he wasn't in danger of falling in love with the girl? That would be unprecedented.
Well, almost. There had been that one time, years ago - a time of confusion and hurt, and he had promised himself he'd never let himself become vulnerable to that kind of misery again...
He shrugged slightly. This was entirely different. A mild fondness - should it develop into that - would do little harm. Especially if he did indeed marry Sara, to make his new heir legitimate.
Ah well, he'd worry about that when the time came. He yawned, and closed his eyes. He wanted to be refreshed in the morning, when he intended to make another attempt to get Sara pregnant.

Sara opened her eyes, blinking in the morning sunlight that fell across her face. She smiled, remembering that Lucius had stayed the night, and rolled onto her side, to look at him.
He was lying on his stomach, his head turned away from her, and the sunlight splashed across him gave his normally pale skin a warm glow. His hair, spread across his shoulders, shone like pooled gold, and Sara reached out to touch it, letting its smooth silkiness slip between her fingers.
She inhaled deeply; her Earth elementalism made her more aware of all her senses, and she closed her eyes, enjoying the scent of Lucius's body, the faint clean edge of cologne mingled with the more recent scent from the sweat that had covered him during their lovemaking the night before. As she ran her hand down his back, letting her nails lightly scratch his skin, she hoped he'd be in the mood for a little more this morning.

Lucius stirred, becoming aware of a pleasurable sensation moving down his back. He opened his eyes, realizing that it was Sara, running her nails lightly down his spine. He groaned softly, appreciatively, then turned on his side, to look at the beautiful young woman, who grinned at him mischievously.
He pulled Sara into his arms, capturing her mouth with a deep, demanding kiss, his desire for her flaring as he felt her soft skin pressed against him.

Lucius rapped on the door of the cottage. There was a long pause, and he was about to knock again when the door opened a crack. Sara looked up at him, her face pale. There were tears on her cheeks.
"Sara? My dear, what has upset you?" he asked, pushing the door open far enough to admit him. He put his arm around Sara's shoulders, and guided her to the sofa. Once they were sitting, he produced a spotless silk handkerchief, and gently wiped Sara's face. Then he leaned closer and kissed her lightly on the lips, before saying, "Now. What's wrong? Did something happen to one of the peacocks?"

Sara jumped at the sound of a knock on the door. She'd hoped Lucius hadn't noticed her leave like that. She took a deep breath. She would have to face him eventually, so it might as well be now. She crossed the room, and opened the door.
Lucius seemed concerned about her. He led her to the sofa, and wiped her face, and kissed her, before he asked what was wrong.
Sara took a deep breath. She'd lose her nerve if she didn't do it now. "I - I think I'm... pregnant. I don't know - the spell - maybe it... it doesn't work on an Elementalist," she said in a rush, a catch in her voice from her recent tears.

Lucius was silent for a minute or two. "Well," he said calmly, "the first thing to do is find out whether you are actually pregnant." He stood up, and reached to take Sara's hand, drawing her to her feet.
"We'll go to the school nurse. I'm sure she can tell us whether or not you're pregnant." He felt Sara's resistance, and paused, raising his hand to brush her cheek. "Unless you would prefer to have her come here to do the test?"
When Sara nodded, he let her sit down again, and took out his wand, conjuring a patronus to take a message to the nurse. As he watched the lean, dog-like shape race towards the school, he mused, not for the first time, on the shape it took. He would have preferred it to be a wolf, but he supposed a coyote wasn't too bad. They were, he understood, cunning and resourceful creatures.
Then he went to sit beside Sara, putting his arm around her once again. "Soon, we'll know. And then we'll decide what to do," he said, his tone comforting.

Sara didn't want to go up to the school, to the hospital wing. She felt safe here, in her cosy cottage. But Lucius seemed to sense her reluctance, and instead sent a patronus to fetch the nurse. Sara caught a glimpse of the patronus before it bounded out of the room. She felt vaguely comforted - dogs were noted for loyalty, weren't there? But she wasn't sure what Lucius meant by deciding what to do. Would he want her to get rid of the baby? She wouldn't do it. She'd run away, hide from him, if he wanted to do that. She loved Lucius, she knew that, but she would protect her child.
Still, his embrace was comforting, and she leaned her head against his shoulder as they waited.
When the nurse arrived, looking bemused, Lucius let her in, and said, "I would like you to examine Miss Desjardins. She believes she may be pregnant." He looked at the nurse intently. "I trust that she can rely on your discretion in this matter?" There was a faint edge in his voice, and the nurse nodded, looking both startled and nervous.
She took Sara into the bedroom and had her lie down on the bed. It wasn't really necessary, in order to perform the charm, but she felt that the girl would be more comfortable without the headmaster's ominous presence. She performed the spell, and Sara watched anxiously as the nurse studied the results. "Yes dear, you're expecting," the woman told her, looking sympathetic. "Would you like to know what you're having?"
Sara wasn't sure she trusted herself to speak, but nodded. Again the nurse waved her wand, and after a few moments she smiled. "A little boy," she told her. "Now, you mustn't be scared. You're a healthy young woman. I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mother."
Sara got up off the bed, and followed the nurse out, in time to hear the woman say, "Miss Desjardins is expecting a little boy." She looked at the headmaster sternly. "She mustn't be upset!" she added. After another sympathetic glance at Sara, she headed back to the school, clearly relieved to be out of Lucius's intimidating presence.
Sara looked anxiously at Lucius, but her voice was firm, almost defiant, as she said, "I won't get rid of it!"

Lucius waited while the nurse examined Sara. When she finally came back out of the bedroom, he looked at her expectantly. He felt a moment of triumph as she told him that Sara was carrying his son but he didn't let it show. As the woman scurried away, he turned to see Sara standing at the bedroom door, her expression scared but defiant.
Her words startled him, and he went to her side, taking her hand. "Get rid of it? Of course not! I would never ask you to do that." He brushed a lock of hair from her face, and said, "My dear, you must marry me, of course."
